Do you need to submit an
Overage Dependant Student form?
You must complete an Overage Dependant Student form every school year for each of your dependants over age 21 who is covered under your group benefits.
An overage dependant student is:
- your or your spouse’s natural, legally adopted, step or foster child
- in full-time attendance at an accredited educational institution
- unmarried
- not engaged in full-time employment, and
- dependent on you or your spouse for financial support.
OTIP Benefits Services must receive your completed form before your dependants can claim under your coverage.
